Alexandra Mueller is a Senior at Brookfield Central High School. Born in Ishim, Russia, and adopted from an orphanage when she was about one year old, her current parents have raised her with music since she was a little girl, and she has flourished with it. Alexandra began playing the piano at just a few years old, and the French horn in third grade. She hasn't stopped playing since, and plans to continue for the rest of her life!

In seventh grade, Alexandra began composing, creating one-instrument melodies for Universes, characters, and stories that she had written. Now, as a graduating senior, she will be double-majoring in Digital Animation and Music Composition.

Alex says, "I am so thankful for MYSO, as it has changed my life. I would especially like to thank Dr. Ellenwood, the Wind Ensemble, and Mr. Hacker for helping me bring my piece to life; I could not have done it without you! MYSO has challenged me to become the best I can be, provided a family, great memories, and amazing music. Thank you for four beautiful years!

Mabaj Nar Armauk (The Oath of Body and Axe)

The shouting and metallic sounds of battle echo and ring off of the mountain tops. Towering at nearly seven feet tall, a powerful Orcish woman stands. Silver amour lines her gray-skinned and muscular body. Her white, long braids sway in the bitter wind, as her large and callused hands grip her massive battleaxe. Sweat beads at her hairline as the emblem of concentration glows dimly upon her forehead. A dear friend stands near her; she is calm and beautiful. Her flowing hair and dress move gently behind her. She emits a comforting aura. 

The warrior comes down to her level, and nods at her. 

The small spirit steps back a bit, as the warrior closes her eyes and concentrates. Her veins pump with adrenaline as energy seeps down her arm and into her battleaxe. With all of her willpower, she runs and jumps into the air, holding her axe high above her head. 

“Mabaj Nar Armauk!”

Tempest Borghildr is a Dungeons and Dragons character I created years ago. I love her so dearly, and her best friend, Melini, is one of my best friends in real life. I hope you enjoy this small snippet of their journey in friendship together.
