Cecilia Davis
Soprano

Cecilia Davis is thrilled and honored to join MYSO for the Founders Concert! A Milwaukee native, Cecilia performs regularly with local theater and opera companies. Previous appearances include Forgotten Voices (soloist), The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess (Clara), and Les Misérables (ensemble) with Skylight Music Theatre. Other memorable roles include the Skylight Music Theatre/Milwaukee Opera Theatre productions of Carmina Burana (soloist), and The Tales of Hoffmann (Olympia/Dr. Miracle). Other Milwaukee Opera Theatre productions include Fairy Queen Fantasy, Ernest in Love, Victory for Victoria, and Handel’s Bestiary. In February 2023, Cecilia will appear as a principal performer in Sunset Playhouse’s Best of Bachrach. Cecilia also loves performing in intimate recital settings, and has appeared in a variety of local concert series. 

Passionate about arts education and youth development, Cecilia has held community engagement, education, and development positions with several of Milwaukee’s finest youth arts and educational institutions, including MYSO! Cecilia was proud to serve MYSO for several years as its Community Partnership Manager during its exciting expansion to the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center. She currently serves on the Mission Advancement Team with St. Marcus School, where several scholars have been blessed with MYSO involvement.

Cecilia’s most signature roles are mom to spirited sons Owen and Milo, and spouse to loving and supportive Jon.
