Cameron Coraggio is in his third year at MYSO and his first year in Metropolitan Symphony where he plays violin. Currently, Cameron studies violin with Joseph Siegworth and helps teach three young violinists.
Cameron resides in Wauwatosa with his parents, brother, sister, and dog. He is currently a sophomore at Wauwatosa West High School.
Cameron also plays viola, trumpet, French horn, and piano and conducts various ensembles through the West music program. At West, Cameron partakes in many music curriculars including Concert Orchestra, Full Orchestra, Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Pit Orchestra, and Music Theory II. Along with performing in these ensembles, he has been given the opportunity to conduct Concert Orchestra, the Whitman Middle School Band, and Percussion Ensemble. In addition, he is the Drum Major for the West Marching Band.
As a composer, Cameron's piece, Neptune Winds was given its first performance by the Whitman Middle School Sixth Grade Band when he was a freshman.
Cameron has gone to WSMA State Solo and Ensemble for the last 3 years, and this year, having all five of his events qualify and receiving four gold medals and one silver medal at the state festival.
In his free time, Cameron enjoys playing tennis for West and practicing music. Cameron would also like to thank all of his teachers/instructors for helping him get to where he is today.
