Yogi Dada

YOGI DADA is a Renaissance Artist raised in upstate New York. Her mantra, an “Artist 4 Humanity”, is influenced by urban graffiti and African culture. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts but graduated discouraged and stopped painting for 17 years while working as an Optician. It was her mother who first put a brush in her hand at 4 years old, who prayed Yogi would return to her art. Yogi’s resurrected brushstroke took place in 2008, her mother transitioned in 2009. She eventually launched her own business with exquisite hand painted earrings called, “Dadas”, released a self-published book of poetry, “Eternal Communicator”, created and directed an award- winning film, “Graffica”, and a live production, “Graffica Live!”. She studied in New York City with the luxury retailer, Hermes, released a canvas series, “Go Back to Africa”, and continues to serve her community through business collaborations and service. From the cello to African djembe, singing to sign language, YOGI DADA is creating beautiful things for humanity.
