Jasmine N. Young is from Birmingham, Alabama, and studies under Dr. Robert Janssen at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. The Birmingham Art Music Alliance featured her original composition in 2021 as well as being accepted into All State Orchestra as the principal clarinet in the Sinfonia Orchestra in February 2023. She auditioned for All-District Band and was accepted into both the District and State levels in late January 2023. She participated in the Alabama Federation of Music Clubs Junior Solo Competition and was awarded 1st place in the Woodwind Division in late January of 2023. For two years, she has participated in the Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt Competition and received 2nd place in 2022 and recently 3rd place earlier this April. She currently likes to compose music while experimenting with different sounds of objects, sewing & crochet, drawing various concepts bordering fantasy to reality, and reading fantasy and romance books of all types.
