David Miranda

David Miranda is an active freelance artist in the Washington, DC area. David is a member of Exigence, a Sphinx vocal ensemble, and can regularly be found performing with The Washington Chorus and other choral ensembles that collaborate with the National Symphony and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras. 

As a DC area native, David was immersed in a rich and diverse musical community which led to a passion for choral singing. While attending Shepherd University, David was invited to be an Opera Artist with the International Performing Arts Institute in Munich, Germany. He was featured in several performances, workshops, and master classes with notable opera performers and international conductors and directors. David is an active soloist in the Washington, DC area, and has had the pleasure of performing as the tenor soloist for such works as Handel’s Messiah, Handel’s Israel in Egypt, J.S. Bach Cantata 80 Eine feste Burg, Mozart’s Requiem, and Mendelssohn’s Elijah. 

In addition to his artistic career, David works in property management at BM Smith & Associates in Arlington, Va. He was also recently selected to be in Chorus America’s inaugural Choral Executive Leadership Academy in the hopes of pursuing work in creating diverse and equitable opportunities in the performing arts around Washington, DC.
