Ross Freeman is originally from Kent, Washington and began his training at Ensemble Ballet Theater and Evergreen City Ballet under Kevin Kaiser. At age 16, he was given a scholarship to attend Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Massachusetts. He attended summer intensives with American Ballet Theater, Batsheva Dance Company, Limón Dance Company, Paul Taylor Dance Company, and Pacific Northwest Ballet, the latter for multiple summers on full tuition scholarship. Upon graduation, he received a full tuition scholarship to attend the University of Arizona’s School of Dance. While at UA, he performed works by George Balanchine, Autumn Eckman, and Darrell Grand Moultrie, among others. In 2020, he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude with a BA in linguistics and a BFA in dance. Ross joined Boulder Ballet in 2021.
