Directing credits include: Lend Me a Tenor, The Rainmaker, Dames at Sea (Peninsula Players Theatre, Door County, WI – where she serves as Artistic Director); Cabaret, Steel Magnolias, The Tin Woman (Theatre at the Center, Munster, IN, where she spent five seasons as Artistic Director); White Christmas (Marriott Theatre); Next to Normal, Parade (BoHo Theatre). Choreography credits include: Drury Lane Theatre, Timeline Theatre, Writers Theatre, American Players Theatre, The Lamb’s Theatre-NY. Fortunato has been nominated for six Jeff Awards for choreography and directing (receiving two) and has taught at Columbia College Chicago and Loyola University Chicago.
