Josh Schmidt (Co-Sound Design) Josh Schmidt returns to Northlight after most recently designing The Garbologists. Recent Chicago credits include Mr. Wolf (Steppenwolf); Dial M for Murder, and The Da Vinci Code (Drury Lane). On Broadway, his designs include Bug, Therese Raquin, House of Blue Leaves, and many others. Regional credits include The Coast Starlight, The Chosen, and Much Ado About Nothing (Milwaukee Rep), Tribes, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (American Players Theatre), and Dear Jack Dear Louise (Peninsula Players), among many others. Josh has designed over 350 productions for companies including Lincoln Center, Atlantic Theatre, Roundabout, Second Stage (NYC); Writers’ Theatre, Goodman Theatre (CHICAGO); Stratford Shakespeare Festival (Ontario, Canada); Signature Theatre and Ford’s Theatre (Washington DC); and 22 Seasons at American Players Theatre (Spring Green, WI). Film credits include songs, orchestration, and score (with Marius de Vries) for The End (Final Cut for Real/Neon). Josh is currently the Harris Kenan Fellow at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
