Canadian soprano Sarah Cambidge is making important role and house debuts, including Helmwige in Zurich Opera's production of Die Walküre and covering the role of Madame Lidoine in the Metropolitan Opera’s production of Dialogues des Carmélites. She also covered the role of Leonore in Fidelio at the San Francisco Opera.

Prior to COVID-19, Sarah was preparing Aunt Lydia in A Handmaids Tale, and Ghita in Zemlinsky's Der Zwerg at the San Francisco Opera, and was set to make her Lyric Opera of Chicago debut as Ortlinde, while covering Sieglinde, in their 2020 cancelled Ring Cycle. In previous seasons, Sarah made her Metropolitan Opera debut as the Dama di Lady Macbeth in their 2019 Macbeth, and covered the role of the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro. She made her European debut as Chrysothemis in Elektra at the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe, her French debut as Sieglinde in Die Walküre at l’Opéra National de Bordeaux, and returned to San Francisco for her role debut as the Foreign Princess in Rusalka.

In San Francisco's 2017-18 season, she performed the roles of Ortlinde and the 3rd Norn in Wagner’s Ring Cycle, as well as the Soprano Angel in Heggie’s It’s a Wonderful Life. She also debuted the role of Amelia in Livermore Valley Opera’s Un Ballo in Maschera. Ms. Cambidge is an alumnae of the world renowned San Francisco Opera Adler Fellowship, was a National Semifinalist at the 2015 MONC, and was named the winner of the 2016 Denver Lyric Opera Guild competition.
