Nathan Snyder
tenor (Greeley CO)

Tenor Nathan Snyder, a University of Northern Colorado alumnus, sets himself apart with his energetic performances, commanding stage presence and impressive versatility. The 2022 season provided Snyder the opportunity to showcase this versatility with a wide range of performances, beginning with Verdi’s heroic tenor Manrico in Il Trovatore with Boulder Opera, which was quickly followed by the world premiere of two modern chamber operas: Miraculous Truths and Genesis with the Colorado Chamber Orchestra. Snyder then moved into the world of musical theatre, singing Billy Early in No No Nanette and Tommy in Brigadoon with Loveland Opera Theatre.

This pattern continues in 2023 as Snyder performs a concert of duets from Andrew Lloyd Webber, as a tenor soloist in Carmina Burana with the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra, and as Sam Polk in Susannah with Opera Fort Collins.

Some of Snyder’s other roles include Rodolfo in La Bohème in a socially distanced COVID staging in 2020 with Boulder Opera, both Eisenstein and Alfred in Fledermaus, Camile in The Merry Widow, Dewey Noyes in the world premiere of Staggerwing with Opera Kansas, and Don Jose in Carmen, just to name a few. Next season, Snyder will be making his company debut with Opera Steamboat and Tulsa Opera as a member of the Filstrup Resident Artist Program.
