Mezzo-soprano Heather Thaxton of Florence, Alabama received a bachelor’s of science in vocal performance from the University of North Alabama and a master of arts in vocal performance from Samford University. Some of her most recent performance roles include Third Lady in Mozart's The Magic Flute, Cousin Hebe in Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore, and Marcelina in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. She has joined the chorus of Opera Birmingham in productions such as La Bohème, Tosca, and Romeo and Juliet, as well as special events such as Sounds of the Season.
