DeLee Michiko Benton is a member of the Opera Birmingham Studio at Samford University pursuing their master's degree in vocal performance. A few of their favorite past credits include Amahl and the Night Visitors (Mother, Samford Opera), The Marriage of Figaro (Susanna, University of Montevallo), Little Red’s Most Unusual Day (Little Red, Opera Birmingham), and La Bohème (Ensemble, Opera Birmingham). This season, they can be seen as the Sandman in Opera Birmingham’s upcoming Hansel and Gretel. Their biggest joy in life is their husband, Justice, and their three adorable cats.
