DeLee Michiko Benton is a member of the Opera Birmingham Studio at Samford University pursuing her master's degree in Vocal Performance. She was a part of several productions with the University of Montevallo Opera for three years, and has been in productions with Opera Birmingham for the past two years. Some of her favorite roles have been Susanna from The Marriage of Figaro, and Nancy from Albert Herring. 

Mrs. Benton hopes to someday teach voice and direct an opera program, utilizing her undergraduate studies in Music Education at the university level. Until then, she is content in her studies and loves to knit and craft. Her biggest joy in life is her husband, Justice, and their two cats, Mister and Madame.
