Chris Farley
baritone

Christopher Blake Farley is a baritone from Morris, Alabama. Chris holds degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (BA Music) and the Mannes School of Music at the New School (MM Vocal Performance). He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Alabama.

Christopher has been seen with Opera Huntsville in Strauss’s comedic masterpiece Die Fledermaus as Eisenstein and with The University of Alabama Opera Theatre in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi as Gianni Schicchi, as well as covering Enrico in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor with Druid City Opera. Chris is a winner of the Vann Vocal Institute Competition top prize and received an encouragement award from the Laffont Competiton hosted by the Metropolitan Opera. Recent performances include Belcore in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore with Opera Huntsville, Giuseppe in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers, King Melchior in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors with The University of Alabama Opera Theatre and Danilo in Lehar’s The Merry Widow with Birmingham Music Club.
