Samuel Phillips is a senior vocal performance major from Tulsa, Oklahoma, studying at Samford University. He studies voice with Christopher Withrow and previously studied with Angela Yoon. He has appeared in several Samford opera scenes and mainstage productions, including The Magic Flute (Papageno), Amahl and the Night Visitors (Melchior), and recently in Samford’s world premiere children’s opera, Dragon’s Breath (Dewitt). This past semester, Samuel also began working as a soloist with Opera Birmingham, performing in the children’s opera The Billy Goats Gruff.
