Jahleel Walker is currently on a leave of absence from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, where he is pursuing his master’s degree in Vocal Performance. He received his B.M. in Vocal Performance at the University of Montevallo. Some recent distinctions include second place in the Advanced College Classical TBB Category at ALANATS 2022, finalist in the John Alexander Vocal Competition Student Category 2022, and Birmingham Chapter Winner/National Finalist for the Dorothy Lincoln Voice Award 2022. He was last seen on stage as Remus from Treemonisha with Bloomington Chamber Opera. He recently transitioned from tenor to countertenor.
