Katie King (she/her) is a soprano from Livonia, Michigan. She is delighted to be participating in her first Opera Shots! She is a junior vocal performance major at Samford University, where she has performed in productions of The Magic Flute (chorus) and Amahl and the Night Visitors (chorus). She has also been featured in Samford’s Opera Workshop in scenes from Street Scene (Mrs. Jones) and Suor Angelica (Suor Genovieffa). She is a proud member of the internationally-acclaimed Samford A Cappella Choir. In 2021, Katie attended Interlochen Arts Camp, where she performed in scenes from Cosí fan tutte (Fiordiligi) and Patience (Patience). Other favorite credits include Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Clue (Mrs. Peacock) and Chicago (Mary Sunshine). In her free time, she enjoys playing piano and spending time with her family at home, especially with her dog Zoey.
