Michelle Allie Drever
Anne Sullivan

American soprano Michelle Allie Drever possesses an unusual combination of rich, powerful sound, effervescent color, and sprightly coloratura hailed by Opera Wire as “imbued with fiery relish.” Most recently, Ms. Drever made her role debut as Tosca in Tosca with Pocket Opera in San Francisco. Other credits include the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte, Violetta in La Traviata, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Le Feu/Le Rossignol in L'enfant et les sortilèges, and Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus at companies such as Utah Lyric Opera, Pacific Opera Project, LA Opera, West Bay Opera, and Miami Lyric Opera. A fiercely committed singer-actor, Ms. Drever is steadily gaining a reputation as a “force of nature” on stage, praised as the “rare combination of actor/singer for whom opera was intended but all too seldom [found]” (Splash Magazine). She spent her undergrad at the Manhattan School of Music and holds a master’s degree in vocal performance from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music where she created the role of La Condesa in the world premiere of Juana by Carla Lucero. She will appear as La Condesa during the 2023-24 season on a studio recording which will be produced, released, and internationally distributed by PARMA records, a Grammy-award winning label, to be accompanied by a short film produced in conjunction with Vox Visceralis. An alumna of the Renata Scotto Opera Academy under the direction of Renata Scotto, Ms. Drever is also a finalist of the Premiere Opera Foundation and National Opera Association vocal competitions. She resides in Los Angeles. Visit michellealliedrever.com for more information.
