Annie Wiegand is the first and only professional Deaf lighting designer in the theatre industry in the United States. Born in Des Moines, IA, Annie received her BA in Theatre from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and her MFA in Lighting Design from Boston University. After receiving her MFA, Annie toured for three years with The Acting Company as their Lighting Director.
