Gospel music runs through Ty Taylor’s blood and has played a major role in his development as an artist since he was young. He sang his first solo in “Kumbaya” with the Cherub Choir at St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Montclair, New Jersey, and knew from then on that music was his God-given talent and to pursue it wholly. Ty featured in his first Broadway show at just 8 years old; working on professional musical productions, commercials, and television through his childhood and adolescence, and was offered his first record deal immediately after graduating high school.
Ty is now the lead singer of renowned Los Angeles-based soul-rock band Vintage Trouble. Ty’s powerful vocals have captured fans across the world whilst sharing stages with iconic acts such as Lenny Kravitz, Macy Gray, The Who, Eric Clapton, Fiona Apple, The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, and AC/DC.
Ty’s connection to Gospel music shines with authenticity as he embraces his holy journey on This Little Light. The album is a tribute to his mother who guided him through the hills and valleys of hardship up to the mountainside where, today, he stands as a man of strength and faith.
