Nicholas Bartolotti began his dance training at his mother’s dance studio, Madeline’s Dance Center in Marlboro, NY. He furthered his dance training at the American Academy of Ballet for a number of years under the direction of Mignon Furman and Brian Loftus. Nicholas went on to receive his BFA from Adelphi University on Long Island, NY under the direction of Frank Lugustyn. During his time there he had the privilege of performing in multiple works choreographed by the distinguished faculty and guest choreographers. These works include Paul Taylor’s Company B, Martha Graham’s Acts of Light, Pascal Rioult’s Bolero, and Jirí Kylián’s Bella Figura among others. Nicholas then went on to perform professionally with Amy Marshall Dance Company in NYC where he performed a number of original contemporary works and toured internationally. He spent time as a guest artist for USDAN Performing Arts Center, Eglevsky Ballet Company, and Boca Ballet Theatre where he performed featured roles in On the Town, Coppélia, The Nutcracker, Play Ball!, and more. Nicholas joined Ballet Quad Cities as a company artist in 2019. In his time there, he’s performed featured roles in Dracula, The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, Romeo & Juliet, as well as a number of original works. He’s enjoyed his time with the company and all the opportunities it’s brought. Among his favorite are the many outreaches the company brings to the children of the Quad Cities. Sharing the art of dance is one of his passions, and bringing that to the next generation of dancers is a great privilege.
