Tad Ennen, baritone and Iowa native, recently relocated to Cedar Rapids from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to teach voice and music at Mount Mercy University and Coe College. He holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Simpson College. He recently received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Louisiana State University. Previously, Thaddeus could be found performing opera and concerts throughout the United States. Recent engagements include work with Des Moines Metro Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera, Central City Opera, Opéra Louisiane, Santa Fe Opera, Pensacola Opera, and Knoxville Opera. Thaddeus is performing with Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale in Handel’s Dettingen’s Te Deum and Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass this season. In addition to performing, Thaddeus owns Ennen Voice Studio in Cedar Rapids and teaches private voice lessons.
