Praised for her “fire” and “vocal drama,” Wisconsin native Hayley Lipke is emerging into the opera scene as a “praise-worthy soprano.” Hayley received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Jane Dutton and Gary Arvin. With Indiana University Opera Theater, she has entertained audiences as Violetta Valéry (La traviata); Donna Anna (Don Giovanni); Gertrud Mutter (Hänsel und Gretel); Rosalba Montealban (Florencia en el Amazonas); and Gertie Cummins (Oklahoma!). Following her studies at IU Jacobs School of Music, Lipke performed as the resident soprano with Indianapolis Opera where she performed as Cio-cio San and Kate Pinkterton (Madama Butterfly); Lola (Gallantry); as well as covering Donna Anna (Don Giovanni). Most recently, Lipke was named a winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition in the Indiana District, and performed at Quisisana as Desiree (A Little Night Music) and Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte).
