Melissa Bull began asking for a violin almost as soon as she could talk. She finally talked her parents into violin lessons at age 5. She made her living as a free-lance violinist in the Boston area for 20 years before moving to Bowling Green. She has appeared as concertmaster of Orchestra Kentucky, the Orchestra of Indian Hall, the Quincy Bay Chamber Orchestra, the North Shore Philharmonic and the Boston Conservatory Orchestra, and as principal violist of Lexington Symphony, Symphony by the Sea, & Melrose Symphony. She currently plays with Orchestra Kentucky and with Nashville Music Scoring, where she records major film scores, tv episodes, and video game soundtracks. Melissa studied with James Buswell at New England Conservatory and Gordon College, receiving a BM in Violin Performance and a BA in Spanish with Departmental Honors. She completed her Master of Music in violin performance at Boston Conservatory as a student of Lynn Chang and Joseph Silverstein, the former concertmaster of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She met Bronson in December 2017 while performing in A Christmas Carol at the North Shore Music Theatre. She is Minister of Music and Discipleship at Christ United Methodist Church and enjoys playing handbell duos with her husband, running, and playing tennis with her two daughters.
