Praised as “a rich-voiced mezzo” (Operawire) and a “tour-de-force” (Splash Magazine), Chicana mezzo soprano Maria Dominique Lopez has sung throughout the US and Europe, in addition to recording for independent films and major motion pictures (including Golden Globe and Academy Award Winning Disney/Pixar film, “Coco”). Recent stage appearances: Houston Grand Opera, Arizona Opera, Phoenix Symphony, Resonance Works, Opera Memphis, Pacific Opera Project, The Kennedy Center, New Opera West, Southeast Symphony, Angels Vocal Art, Long Beach Opera, White Snake Projects, New England Philharmonic, Virginia Symphony, San Bernardino Symphony and LA Opera. Upcoming appearances: New Jersey Symphony and Opera Idaho. Maria lives in Los Angeles, CA, with her husband and their newborn son, and teaches meditation and Reiki when she’s not performing.
