Diana Cayler [Production Manager] has been the production manager for Opera Idaho since April 2022. She is enjoying this new venture into the backstage world of performing arts and plans to work for Opera Idaho in this capacity for a long time. Last season, she not only served as production manager, but also props master for all Opera Idaho productions. Locally raised, she has been performing as an actress and soprano for more than 22 years, often also supporting productions by doing backstage work as well. Highlights of her acting experience include Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Ms. Hannigan in Annie, Ms. Pinkerton in The Old Maid and the Thief, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, (her most exciting role) Brutus in Julius Caesar, and Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. In 2015, she directed Seymour Barab’s one-act opera Little Red Riding Hood for Encore Theatre Company. In her choral singing days, she worked with renowned conductors like Edith Copley, Vijay Singh, Maurice Skones, Eph Ely, and Anton Armstrong. In 2019, she had the pleasure of conducting the choir and orchestra during a special performance with Mandisa. “I am so grateful for the work of everyone in the performing arts community – on stage and off.”
