Before moving to the Treasure Valley, soprano BrieAnne Welch Prestwich served as a resident artist with Cappella Antiqua at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Sacramento, CA, and was also a member of the Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera Chorus. BrieAnne has performed Carl Orff's Carnima Burana with the Santa Rosa Symphonic chorus and the Tuscia Opera Festival in Viterbo, Italy. She has also performed as the soprano soloist in Hande's Messiah with the Camellia Symphony. In 2008, she preformed Pergolesi's Stabat Mater as well as First Lady and Papagena in a televised production of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with the Tuscia Opera Festival in Rome. Other roles include Donna Anna and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Adele and Ida (Die Fledermaus), Dursilla (L'incoronaziona di Poppea), Anne Page (The Merry Wives of Windsor), and Dorabella (Così fan tutte). Most recently, she sang the Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro) and reprised Stabat Mater both with Gemma Arts, as well as attended the Narnia Festival debuting in the world premiere of Jake Landau's & Aeterna as Juno. This summer she reprised her role as Juno in the U.S. premiere of & Aeterna at the New Voice Festival hosted by Gemma Arts in Boise.
