Anissa Bailis is an accomplished Soloist with Ballet Idaho (BI), experienced teacher with Ballet Idaho Academy (BIA) and choreographer. Since joining Ballet Idaho in 2017, Bailis has distinguished herself with her technique and artistry in both classical and contemporary ballet, earning her numerous featured roles and a promotion to Soloist in 2024. With BI, she has performed works by numerous choreographers including George Balanchine, Johan Inger, Penny Saunders, Alejandro Cerrudo, Dani Rowe, Edwaard Liang, Lauren Edson, Garrett Anderson, and Anne Mueller.
Anissa trained at International Ballet Academy in Cary, NC and completed her dance education at Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Professional Division on scholarship. Her dedication to her craft was further honed through summer programs at the prestigious institutions Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB), School of American Ballet (SAB), and American Ballet Theatre (ABT) receiving scholarships from PNB and SAB.
