Christian, along with his wife, Jenna Tamisieas Elser, co-founded Glow Lyric Theatre in 2009.  As a baritone, Christian has performed roles nationally with such organizations as the Chicago Opera Theatre, Lyric Opera Kansas City, Lyric Opera Cleveland, and Light Opera Oklahoma. He can also be heard on several commercial opera and song recordings by Cedille, Naxos and Centaur Records. Additionally, he serves as  Professor of Music at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, where he is Voice Division Director, Director of Choral Activities, and Director of the PC Opera/Musical Theatre program.
