Jessie Lee Thorne is a Los Angeles-based movement artist who exists in both commercial and theatrical realms of dance finding it important to use art as a form to further understand the nature of the self and reality. After her initial training at The Los Angeles County HS for the Arts, she went off to Boston to receive her BFA in Dance and Choreography from The Boston Conservatory. Post graduation, Jessie moved to Italy to tour with the Imperfect Dancers Company. Jessie has traveled nationally and internationally performing works by Walter Matteini, Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, Doug Varone, Robert Moses Kin’, Adam Barruch, Rebecca Lemme, and Micaela Taylor. Currently on her 5th year as a company member of The TL Collective, she has had the opportunity to perform at Jacob’s Pillow, The New York City Center, Panama’s International Festival of the Arts, Springboard Danse Montreal, B12 Festival, Guadalajara Dance Festival, and more. Jessie creates live work and dance films under her company Poets In Motion and has movement directed/choreographed music videos for artists such as David Archuleta, Kevin Mchale, Emit Fenn, and Austin Eyes as well as choreographed for Universal feature film Bobbleheads and the short film Daisy Boy.
