As a freelance dance artist, Marlie Couto has had the pleasure of working closely with and performing works by Summer Lee Rhatigan, Christian Burns, Marissa Brown, Bobbi Jene Smith, Tom Weinberger, David Harvey, Lauren Simpson, Courtney Mazeika, and Margot Gelber. She is a collaborator with Micaela Taylor's The TL Collective, Room to Room Project, burnsWORK, and Lone King Projects. Courtney Mazeika, Max Judelson, and Marlie began an ongoing performative and choreographic collaboration in 2013.  Their work eventually was awarded the 2nd place prize at Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition in 2018.
