Allie Pfeffer (she/her) received her BFA with honors in Dance from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2011. In New York, her work was presented at Gibney and as part of the LaMaMa Moves Festival. She worked as the Center Programs Director and Associate Center Director at Gibney before moving to North Carolina. Since moving back south, she has performed with Gerri Houlihan, Renay Aumiller Dancers (RAD), Anna Barker/real.live.people, Stephanie Woodbeck, and Joanna Kotze. She has taught at Ninth Street Dance, ADF’s Samuel H. Scripps Studios, and various high schools around the area. Allie is also one half of A+A Dance Company in Durham, NC. With her collaborator Alyssa Noble, she has choreographed, produced, costumed, and performed in two evening length shows and a variety of shorter works. Allie is also the hands behind Sew Fucking Beautiful, a gender-free handmade clothier in Durham.
