Allison Waddell is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, improviser, yoga teacher, and body worker. She is a graduate of Meredith College and a full scholarship student of both the American Dance Festival and Bates Dance Festival. She has spent the last 20+ years studying, teaching, exploring, and facilitating the movement arts including contact improvisation, somatics, and yoga. She has danced in the works of David Beadle, Ray Eliot Schwartz, Katharine Birdsall, Laura Dean, Amy Chavasse, and Jack Arnold. She was a founding member of the contact improvisation quartet THEM and a directing member of the Zen Monkey Project. She has been a guest artist at Meredith College, Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul, Turkey, and the University de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico, and is currently on faculty at William Peace University.
