Kristina was born in Rijeka, Croatia, and started to dance in 1998. First she adopted the basics of jazz technique. Soon afterwards she began to expand her field of interest to the other dance techniques and styles. She also built her experience through engagements such as Grit, Games of Zen, and Evita musical in National Theatre of Rijeka where she acts through the roles of dancer and choreographer. Paunovski is currently studying at AVA - Academy of Visual Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She attended Academy of Dance in Amsterdam, AHK - Amsterdam School of the Arts (2010-2011) - docent dance department. Since autumn 2011 she continues her work as a dancer, choreographer, and teacher in Rijeka. Her passion for teaching is followed by establishment of K2K Dance Center in autumn 2013 which she is a co-founder and artistic leader. Within K2K center she is continuously engaged in organisation of different events, workshops, and creative projects. 2015-2016: she is hired as a dancer and performs in China. 2016: she expanded her work in dance center My Way (Ukraine). 2018-2019: Kristina launches ARTissue platform through which she explores contemporary movement and visual arts. Paunovski founded this platform to create intermedial approach to choreography, audio, and visual content. Paunovski focuses on exploring contemporary, hip hop and house dance, and visual arts–from physical to virtual mediums, from underground to commercial. Exploring the boundaries between, and lately her work is expanding into the area of inclusion.
