Program Note
“She” is about the ways queer and specifically lesbian attraction can become an isolating experience in heteronormative society. In the past, I have witnessed myself shrink away from my community while navigating queer attraction. This piece is about self empowerment and recognizing the value of nurturing a queer presence in community, even while experiencing the dissonance of releasing a queer personal relation.
