Lilly Beaver is a senior at Elon University, double majoring in Dance Performance and Choreography and Psychology with a minor in Teaching and Learning. Lilly began her dance training at age two in her hometown of Kannapolis, NC. During her time at Elon, Lilly’s performance credits have included Elon’s Dancing in the Landscape, Black History Month, Fall Dance Concert, Spring Dance Concert, and Elon Cares Concert. She has also presented choreography in the Fall Dance Concert and will be choreographing in the upcoming Dancing in the Landscape Concert. Lilly’s choreography was most recently shown at the Still Inspired Future Artists Festival in Chicago and has been selected for the 2023 Washington International Dance Festival, as well as the Little Pink Houses of Hope Annual Gala. Lilly has had the opportunity to work with many local and guest artists while at Elon, including Gaspard Louis, Ming-Lung Yang, Soleymane Solo Sana, Ashley Lindsey, and Courtney Liu. She is currently working as an apprentice in Joyemovement Dance Company, as well as a dancer for NC dance festivals residencies with Jiwon Ha, Casey Avaunt, and Alex Warren. Lilly enjoys sharing her love of dance with children of all ages as a dance teacher and has a passion for teaching adaptive dance for those with special abilities through her work with A Time to Shine dance program and assisting with Dance for Parkinson's. She is thrilled to continue her dance journey with Abdel Salaam’s piece.
