Makayla Woolner is a dancer and choreographer from Fredericksburg, VA. Makayla has trained in various styles of dance including ballet, pointe, modern and contemporary, tap, jazz, musical theater, Hip Hop, and West African dance. Makayla currently attends Virginia Commonwealth University working towards her BFA in Dance and Choreography with a minor in Entrepreneurship. At VCU she has worked with choreographers such as Dean Moss, Scott Putman, Sinclair Emoghene, Starr Foster, Trebien Pollard, and Robbie Kinter. She has also performed with Dance Matrix Company as a guest artist. While at VCU Makayla has had the opportunity to choreograph for competitive dance along with her own personal projects. Makayla trained at Fredericksburg Ballet Centre where she performed roles such as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Clara in The Nutcracker, as well as the Mad Hatter in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Tic-Toc Croc in Peter Pan.
