Yannick Godts is a lighting designer based in Washington, DC. Since 2016, he has been the Lighting Supervisor for Pilobolus Dance Theater, where he has designed multiple works and special projects. He has also designed for Step Afrika!, GALA Hispanic Theatre, Ocala Civic Theater, Theatre Prometheus, and Dance Place in addition to assisting designers at various regional theaters and abroad. He received his BA from Vassar College and will be an MFA candidate at the University of Maryland starting in the fall. He is delighted to bring Put Away the Fire, dear to the American Dance Festival, where he was a production intern in 2012 and has returned regularly ever since.
