Matt Pardo, MFA, AEA, is a co-founder and co-director of The Blanket, which produces the work of Netta Yerushalmy and Lucinda Childs, among others. As a dancer, Pardo has worked with Einsenhower Dance Ensemble, Groundworks Dance Theatre, and Lucinda Childs Dance Company, among others, and was selected by Dance Europe magazine as a “Top 100 Dancer in the World” in 2011. Choreographic and teaching credits include the American Dance Festival, Point Park University, Elon University, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School, Centre National De Danse (Paris), Slippery Rock University, and more. Scholarly research includes an article in the Journal of Dance Education discussing the use of experiential observation in developing a practice of performance. Pardo is an assistant professor at James Madison University.
