Laniya Smith is a well-rounded artist who is a 2024 graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Dance where she received her BFA in Dance with a concentration in performance and choreography. In addition to studying at UNCG, she has been a local dance instructor and performed professionally in the area. She has worked with artists such as Gerri Houlihan, LeDarius ‘Gipsi’ Parker, Jordyn Santiago, and more. Smith also attended the 2023 American College Dance Association (ACDA) Mid-Atlantic South Conference as a performer and co-choreographer and was later selected by adjudicators to go to the National ACDA Conference located in Long Beach, CA, in May of 2023.
