Born on July 14th, 2005, Brooklyn began dancing at Step It Out Dance Studio in upstate New York at age six. She attended Henrico School of the Performing Arts, double majoring in theater and dance. There, she was awarded the Lee G. Hanchey Honorary Scholarship. Currently, Brooklyn is training at James Madison University (JMU) where she majors in dance and is working to obtain her teaching license. She recently completed a residency with Doug Varone and Dancers, with a performance scheduled for fall 2024. Brooklyn works with the JMU Opera Guild and the Black Virginia Theatre Alliance for Youth, working to promote diversity and music. She is grateful for the opportunity to attend the American Dance Festival!
