Alexis Stus
Choreographer

Originally from Dallas, TX, Alexis Stus completed her freshman year at University of the Arts. Alexis graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in the top ten percent of her class with Dance High Honors. She began her dance training at Dallas Ballet Center at the age of three and was a member of Dallas Ballet Company for three years. Throughout high school, she had the chance to perform in works set by numerous guest choreographers. Alexis choreographed three works for Dallas Ballet Company, all adjudicated and selected for Regional Dance America. She also choreographed numerous pieces at Booker T. throughout her four years and was awarded the John Hosfas/Kyle Richard Award for Outstanding Choreography. She recently attended New Century Dance Project in Santa Fe, NM, and presented her work Dissonance in the New Voice‚ Äôs Concert. Upon completion of the festival, Dissonance received the People‚ Äôs Choice Award. With the abrupt closing of UArts, Alexis is unsure what comes next but is excited to be at ADF this summer.
