JEREMY KUMIN, HE/HIM (LIGHTING DESIGNER), has designed lighting for plays, musicals, opera, dance, video, fashion shows, events, gardens, commercial building exteriors, and more. His career in lighting spans 35+ years between entertainment and architectural projects. He holds a BA in Drama from Duke and an MFA from Brandeis in Lighting Design. He toured the USA and Europe with the American Indian Dance Theater for 2 years. Before SDW (2017-present), other dance collaborations included Carlota Santana, Laura Dean, Amanda Selwyn, and OM Grown Dancers. He has guest taught at universities such as Brandeis, NYU, and SUNY Purchase and has guest-designed productions at Brandeis, Duke, Harvard, NCSU, NYU, Muhlenberg, and Yale. Since 2019, he has worked with Southern Lights of Raleigh designing outdoor lighting for high-end residential and commercial properties.
