RACHEL LIEBERMAN (she/her) trained, performed, and taught with Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago growing up. After relocating to the Twin Cities and graduating summa cum laude from Macalester College with a BA in Geography in 2018, Rachel’s heart and body pulled her back toward dance. She has performed in works by Contempo Physical, Leila Awadallah, Off-Leash Area, A Cripple’s Dance, Zoë Koenig, ARENA Dances, Javan Mngrezzo, Annika Johansson, and Analog Dance Works. Currently in her third year with Black Label Movement, she has also choreographed for Alternative Motion Project, Franconia Sculpture Garden, Candy Box Dance Festival, Black Label Movement, and the Walker Art Center. Outside of dance, Rachel is a Program Director at Cow Tipping Press, where she teaches and publishes creative writing by adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
