Oh my goodness! A ginormous ruby-red ring; a genie with magic powers blown in to a picture window from a faraway land; a huge “king of the jungle” kitty cat and a prancing, heroic unicorn—both of them talking, no less! What more could a nine-year-old girl wish for?!!

Maya—a little lonely and a lot bored—stuck at her Grandma’s house for the weekend without any friends to play with, and with homework to do, and “Kitty’s Loo” to clean (that’s the litter box, in case you’re wondering. "Ahhh, YUCK!!"), is about to get three wishes and a magical adventure you only read about in the stories! But those wishes come with the Genie’s cautionary warning, "Be careful what you wish for!"

A fantastical adventure may quickly turn into a topsy-turvy, upside-down mess! Our friend, Maya, may learn that a sweet, sleepy kitty, a yummy snack, and a big hug from Grandma, may be the best wishes to make…EVER!
