He is a multi-award-winning director and writer currently based in New York and Chicago. Recently, his newly conceived “chamber version” of Ragtime was nominated for 10 Joseph Jefferson Awards, winning 4 – including Best Director and Best Production. Favorite directing credits include Something Rotten (Marriott Theatre – Jeff Nom), Into The Woods and Rock of Ages (Pittsburgh CLO), Rent at Theo Ubique (Jeff Award – Best Director, Best Musical); Violet (Jeff Nom – Best Director, Best Musical), Bat Boy (Jeff Nom – Best Director), Titanic (Jeff Nom – Best Director, Best Musical), North American Premiere of Solaris (Griffin Theatre – Jeff Nom – Best Director), the World Premiere of Kooman and Dimond’s The Enlightenment of Percival von Schmootz (Adirondack Theatre Festival); She Kills Monsters (Steppenwolf/Buzz22 Chicago), Million Dollar Quartet (Village Theatre, Phoenix Theatre and others), and Seussical (Chicago Shakespeare Theater). Scott was the Associate and resident director for the Equity National Tour, Las Vegas, and Chicago productions of Million Dollar Quartet. He frequently directs the show across the country and developed and directed the World Premiere/first national tour of Million Dollar Quartet Christmas, with Gigi Pritzker’s Madison Wells Media, which is about to embark upon its third touring season.
