John Leone* (Gyp De Carlo / Al Finney / Others) is making his debut at The REV, thrilled to revisit Jersey Boys for the first time since his days as an original cast member of the Broadway company, where he began as a swing, covering seven parts (including Gyp DeCarlo), before eventually taking over the role of Nick Massi. Other Broadway and National Tours: starring roles in Les Miserables, Titanic, and Grease. Off-Broadway: Avenue X at Playwrights Horizons, Allegory at The Cherry Lane, and Snakebit at Ensemble Studio Theater, where he is a company member. Lots of regional theater in everything from Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams to Sam Shepard. On television, John has played an assortment of Italian American doctors, lawyers, and thugs on various and sundry soaps, “Law and Orders,” and most recently as James Spader’s lawyer on “The Blacklist” and Oscar Issac’s nemesis on the Emmy winning HBO miniseries “Show Me A Hero.” Just completed: a featured role in the upcoming film The Friend, opposite Bill Murray and Naomi Watts. Greatest accomplishment: happy and thriving sons Jack and Evan. For Laura. Johnleone.net
