John Jeanneret
Reed

John Jeanneret (Reed) is an accomplished performer, composer, and music educator. A native of Central New York, he is a graduate of the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, the University of North Texas, and is completing a doctorate at Boston University. In addition to his career as a professional musician working in various genres, John has also performed with over 60 regional and national musical theatre productions as a woodwind specialist. His jazz compositions and arrangements have been played by high schools, university groups, and professional ensembles. John teaches band and woodwind lessons in the Fayetteville-Manlius School District, where he also directs the Fayetteville-Manlius High School Jazz Ensemble. His educational research interests currently focus on learning methodologies in jazz pedagogy and increasing student engagement in music through creativity.
