Taken together, these three works trace ballet's past, present, and future, a fitting way to open a season of new beginnings. When Helimets first stepped into the studio with this company, he was struck not only by the quality of the dancing but by its honesty: a "willingness to search, to try, and to give fully." His hope is for Sacramento Ballet to keep growing into a place where dancers develop, new choreographers find their footing, and every audience member discovers something that stays with them. "I'm truly looking forward to leading the work ahead in service of the Sacramento community," he shared, and we can't wait to see where that work takes us.
